This project consisted of a collaborative exhibition of eclectic artwork celebrating International Women\u2019s Day 2024. An open call was issued for artists to submit work on a range of themes concerning women\u2019s issues across cultural backgrounds that were then selected and curated into a cohesive exhibition. It was held at Trapezium Gallery in Bradford City centre from 2nd March to the 23rd March 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My aim, as producer of the exhibition, was to mark March 8th as a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. I wanted to challenge the idea that women and other \u2018minority groups\u2019 should be labelled as \u2018different\u2019; rather that women are people in society with specific issues which need to be highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
